A Large Safavid Blue And White Pottery Dish, Iran, Late 17Th - Early 18Th Century

Large Safavid pottery dish painted in cobalt blue underglaze with a central medallion featuring birds among dense floral motifs. The cavetto is decorated with radiating petal-shaped panels filled with stylized flowers and foliage. The reverse is painted with scrolling floral vines. Multiple firing scars and restoration cracks are visible. Typical of late Safavid ceramic production, showing strong Chinese influence and Persian design aesthetics.
